I didn’t mention what gear was used on this video because to be honest I don’t think it is important. I don’t think it would have looked that much different if it was shot on most other DSLR’s, so to me it’s kinda irrelevant.

What I wanted to focus on was the scenes, we wanted shots that were visually stimulating, something that catches your eye and makes you want to rewind and watch it again. People need to focus more on the shots they are capturing rather than what they are shooting with.

Anyone can buy a nice HD camera and film a band playing in a warehouse, but that sucks and we’ve all seen it before. I would rather someone shoot a video on an iPhone and think outside of the box be creative and capture something awesome.

I personally don’t know what camera will be best for your budget/shoot/style. However I just read this amazing web post that I think is incredibly helpful if you are looking into purchasing a DSLR.
